Steve, Mitch, and I ate lunch with Richard today. Mitch started cutting beans after eating, they got the combine ready this morning. If you look behind Mitch the neighbors across the road are cutting Milo.

They slowed down the speed and added a plastic hose across the header of the combine (I haven't seen the fix yet to describe it or take a picture, he was already in the field by the time we got there). It made a world of difference in how fast he could cut and the beans are dry now too.

I took Richard down to the field to watch them work. We sat there for a couple hours. My back went out of line a couple of days ago so I was walking as slowly as Richard. We made quite a pair. I'm just glad he didn't need any help getting in and out of the pickup.

We timed Mitch, it took 31 minutes to fill the combine bin. He is cutting beans that were hailed on so they aren't yielding very good.
